I managed to snap off the little fitting beside the radiator supply hose. The host from that fitting goes to the drain and to the block. The dealer wants 507.99 for another radiator. If that little fitting serves no purpose other than to make a connection to the drain screw, my plan is to cork off the hole and put a cap on the other end of the line at the drain screw. Any comments?

Domogala,

It's not difficult to repair this. I'd do it for you at no charge, if I were close by.

Take your radiator to any good radiator repair shop. They'll be able to either solder or braze the fitting back in place for you. Your cost would be less than 100 dollars.

The cost for the repair will more than pay for itself when it comes time to trade it off, or when selling it to another party.

Joel ....

Soldering or brazing doesn't help when it is plastic. After looking in the service manual, that line appears to be strictly for draining the system. So I plugged the snapped off hole in the radiator and plugged the line coming from the block to the drain. There is no more drain. I already fired it up and let it get to full temperature. Everything appears to be just fine. ....
